Team Lead – Legal (4-7 yrs)
Responsibilities of the new recruit
The new recruit will complement the activities of the members of the onshore team by:
– being responsible for drafting and negotiating of various contracts, including non-disclosure agreements, vendor agreements, Standard Terms and Conditions, engagement letters or statements of work with the firm’s clients for various services, including audit and advisory services and vendors
– coordinating with other departments and specialists regarding: risk management, privacy, litigation, compliance, information security, and technology development
– responding to miscellaneous engagement contract-related enquiries
– providing advice on engagement contract and related matters
– drafting and advising on contract terms
– providing solutions to engagement contract-related problems
– helping with the development of policies on engagement contracting risk
– helping with the development of the process documents, playbooks and other materials
Job Requirements
Mandatory Skills
– Qualifications: LLP or LLM
– Total Experience: The candidate must have minimum 4 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably with a Big 4 firm or expertise in technology agreements in a large MNC
– Skillset: Contract Specialist
Preferred Skills
– experience handling legal or contracting queries and drafting or amending legal documents
– Indian or US qualified attorney/lawyer with minimum of 4 to 7 years of relevant post qualification experience
– analytical abilities with attention to details
– ability to articulate points in writing and orally, clearly and succinctly
– ability to persuade where necessary
– negotiating abilities
– capabilities in Outlook, Word and use of websites
– willingness to acquire knowledge of OGC’s practices and processes

Preferred specific experience
The person appointed will have particular experience in the following areas:
– contracts for complex business advisory projects, such as business transformations
– contracts for services relating to IT systems integration, and large IT installations
– software licensing agreements and contracts with software suppliers
– experience of negotiating multi-jurisdictional master service agreements
