Manager – Government Relations – FMCG (10-13 yrs)
This role is responsible in mitigating operational risks arising out of any local disruption in the state as well as because of any government orders restricting the business in any way. The candidate will be responsible in strengthening existing relationships in the government and build new and solid relationships in various departments of the government with deeper engagement with them. The incumbent will also be responsible to have strategic tie-ups with the Government and drive CSR in consultation with the director of the region. He will facilitate and expedite licenses and permissions required in the state for existing and new facilities launched in Kolkata
In each of these areas there are big immediate deliverables as well as mid to long term strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
– To develop an excellent working relationship with Government officials.
– Mitigate operational risks arising out of local disruption or Government orders impacting business
– Facilitate and expedite requisite licenses and permissions for business
– Get Covid related government notifications in real time and apprise the internal stakeholders about the same
– Ensure that all the activities of the business are undertaken with full adherence to the compliance framework and practice.
– Become a trusted partner of government and industry bodies in all policy matters
– Execute strategic tie-ups with the Government at great speed
– Monitor the economic, political, regulatory and legal framework, gathering and analyzing information on developments or changes in policy issues that interest the company.
– Open to pitch in other states in the Region as and when required.
Skills Required :
– To Support Regional Director (GA) in the region. Should have experience at state level regulatory affairs.
– Possess excellent working relationship with Government officials.
