Job description
Roles and Responsibilities
– Research legal issues, draft legal documents and present the case before the court
– Specialised in High Court, National Company Law Tribunal and Debt Recovery Tribunal work
– Should be able to appear and argue matters independently in Court
– Conduct research, interview and collect evidence appropriate to litigation cases
– Coordinate, collaborate and support other litigation lawyers
– Manage client databases and update
– Ensure compliance of all local and state laws relating to litigation matters
Desired Candidate Profile
– LLB with 4 -7 years experience in Dispute Resolution
– LLB from a National Law University (NLU) and preferably a rank holder
– Has strong interpersonal skills, is attentive and demonstrates empathy for others by listening carefully and responding with considered questions and comments.
– Demonstrates clear and concise verbal and written communication skills, focusing on the key points in a structured manner
– Excellent research skills
– Build productive and strong relationships both internally and externally
– Must be able to receive and follow instructions given by management, develop solutions to unique problems
– Work well alone or as a member of a team
