Director – Contract Review Services – LPO (12-17 yrs)

– Excellent understanding and expertise in contracting lifecycle in both the Buy and Sell side.

– Expertise in reviewing and negotiating mid to high complexity commercial contracts such as MSAs, RFPs/Tenders, Procurement (Services, Software, SaaS, Consultancy, Hardware etc.), supply chain transactions, pharma contracts and post execution transactions. – Pre-dispute legal advisory experience. Ability to discern, interpret & identify impact for contractual clauses playbook positions. Ability to create and develop playbooks, SOPs, Governance Plans, Reporting Formats and SLAs. Expertise in performing complex legal research.

Template management and driving efficiencies in Templates.

Operations :

– Multi-client project delivery management.

– Keeping track of service levels and quality metrics for all projects.

– Reporting to internal and external stakeholders on regular and as and when needed basis.

– Proactively identify changing needs of clients and provide solutions/assistance.

– Driving project management best practices within their operating span.

People :

– Manage a large pool of contracting professionals. Spans of 40 to 100 people.

– Developing & delivering up skilling programs for contracting professionals.

– Drive effective and result based performance management programs. Conduct feedbacks/appraisals.

– Drive effective and impactful people satisfactions indexes that results in high retention rates.

– Develop and execute ensure succession planning at all levels.

Client :

– Manage multiple clients and ensure client centricity and gain their trust and partnership.

– Managing all client interactions and keeping them updated on their projects.

– Ensure zero surprise environment.

– Determine proactively clients stated and unstated needs and work with clients to effectively address them.

Transitions and Technologies :

– Deep experience in transition (Domain and Process) of work from clients into company’s

– Risk management and mitigation of new transitions during and after transition of work

– Operational knowledge of different contract management tools and platforms.

– Developing implementation and migration programs related to contracting tools.

Sales and business development :

– Collaborating with the sales team in developing proposals and responding to RFPs.

– Operational knowledge of different contract management tools and platforms.

– Identify and develop growth/farming opportunities with existing clients.

Financial Acumen :

– Own and drive revenue and profitability targets.

– Keep real time track of operating costs with respect to actual revenues and ensure cost controls.

– Identify opportunities to drive higher margins and profitability by process optimization and technology plays

Role Description:

– This role is to lead Company’s Corporate and Commercial Service’s Gurugram India’s Global Delivery Center for all contracting operations. The role will require a dynamic leader who will drive and inspire a large pool of contracting professionals in all aspects of the Contracting Lifecycle covering both Pre and Post Signature functions. This would be a team that would span between 30 to 100 professionals consisting of Senior Managers, Managers, Team Leads and front-line Associates and Senior Associates. This role will require working in excellent synchronization with a larger global team based out of United States, Europe and Asia Pacific.

– This role requires the individual to manage 8-12 distinct clients besides company’s drive to bring Digitization to the global contracting approach a by product of which would mean adding new clients of expansions in current client engagement with company.

Experience and Qualification :

– Lawyer with 12-15 years of experience in complex commercial contracting (preferably IT) and operations.

– Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

– Experience in negotiating contracts with overseas lawyers.

– Multi-jurisdiction experience (US, Europe, APAC).

– Both Buy and Sell side domain depth.

– People Management Skills.

– Dynamic and open to learn approach to work and life.

– Display excellent understanding of market contracting tools and basic to advanced understanding of Artificial Intelligence in the world of Contracting.

– Strategic thinking, relationship building and stakeholder management skills.

– Well versed in MS Word, MS Excel & PowerPoint.

Work Conditions :

– Flexibility to work in US, UK, and APAC operating hours. Work a 9-hour shift between 8:30am and 10:30pm depending on current client and operational needs.

– Required to stretch occasionally to meet client requirements.

– Willingness to travel on client related work internationally when required. Must have a valid passport.
